TALK BY CASPER JOHNSON

‘Recent Archaeological Discoveries around Bexhill – including the Link Road’

Casper Johnson FSA was County Archaeologist at East Sussex County Council from 2006 to 2016. He is currently team manager responsible for the County Council’s modern records, East Sussex Record Office at The Keep (Falmer) and the council’s archaeology and heritage team, which advises on and manages most of the archaeological work undertaken in the county. Casper will be talking about recent archaeological work around Bexhill, resulting from recent development projects, including new roads, housing and employment areas. The archaeological discoveries, which range in date from the end of the last ice age through to the present day, are transforming our understanding, not only of the history of Bexhill but also for certain periods of our national story.
