GET INVOLVED

In addition to supporting the fabric of the Old Town, the BOTPS has made a commitment to research and archive local history. This is where you can help and get involved.

Did you attend a function at the Manor House, or shop at Pocock’s and Cave Austin & Co?

We are currently looking for members of the public that have either lived in Bexhill Old Town for a while, or who have lived here previously and moved away, to take part in our Living Histories project. If you can spare an hour of your time, and don’t mind being recorded, we would love to hear and share your stories and experiences of the Old Town in yesteryear.

We are also looking to expand on the histories behind the buildings in the area. Maybe you have done some research into your own property and would like to share your findings… or you know a interesting fact relating to a specific building. The more information we can collect from the community at large, the better we can tell the story of our wonderful town.

Please feel free to use our ‘local titbits’ messenger to submit any fact or reminiscence that you think would add to our rich tapestry. To take part in our Living Histories project, or share a more extensive body of research with the society, contact us at our office in the High Street.
