Geoff  invites you to meet andspend some time in the company of the eccentric Georgian squire of the village of Brightling, John [Mad Jack] Fuller as he relates tales from his colourful and eventful life. A lively, informative and entertaining morning guaranteed.

Author and local historian Geoff Hutchinson was born in Hastings in 1942 and has lived in East Sussex all his life, but now lives in Brede, near Rye.

He has a tremendous enthusiasm for local history and the colourful characters associated with it. Geoff also has a passion for drama and his ability to combine the two has proved a successful formula.

Geoff’s personal crusade is to make history lively and vibrant – his books, talks and impersonation of local worthies have proved popular with all ages and have led to him making contributions to radio and television. Over the last 20 years, Geoff has built a considerable reputation as a lively and entertaining speaker.
